CHÂU Kim-Sanh (she/her) is a choreographer-dancer, filmmaker, and cultural worker. Her stage creations have been presented at the MAI, Tangente, l’Arsenal, l’Écart (Canada), Krossing-Over (Vietnam), Performance Curator Initiatives (Philippines), and SIDance (Korea), among others.
In 2023, she collaborates as a dancer with Ariane Dessaulles, Erin Hill, and compagnies Katie Ward, Carpe Diem /Emmanuel Jouthe. Châu is an associate artist at Equivoc’ and artistic director at Studio 303.
Châu Kim-Sanh(elle) est chorégraphe-interprète, réalisatrice et travailleuse culturelle. Son travail chorégraphique a été présenté au MAI, l’Arsenal, l'Écart, Tangente, et à travers plusieurs festivals internationaux, dont SIDance (Corée), PCI (Philippines) et Krossing-Over (Vietnam). En 2023, elle est interprète pour des projets de Arianne Dessaulles, Erin Hill, Compagnie Katie Ward et Carpe Diem /Emmanuel Jouthe. Châu est artiste associée chez Equivoc’ et directrice artistique au Studio 303.
Kim-Sanh Châu est chorégraphe-interprète et réalisatrice. Elle s'intéresse à l'émergence de paysages imaginaires à travers le corps; distillés de rêves lointains, de souvenirs ensevelis et réminiscences psychotropiques. En tant que chorégraphe, elle a été présentée au MAI, l’Arsenal, l'Écart, Tangente, et à travers plusieurs festivals internationaux, dont SIDance (Corée) et Krossing-Over (Vietnam). En 2022-23, elle danse avec les compagnies Katie Ward, Carpe Diem /Emmanuel Jouthe et Mandoline Hybride. Châu est aussi Codirectrice artistique et générale du Studio 303 et diplômée en danse (MA UQAM) et en finance (MA ASB Danemark / Harvard É-U).
Kim-Sanh Châu is a choreographer-dancer and filmmaker. Her practice comprises choreographic installation and video making – with an interest for the emergence of imaginary landscapes through the body – distilled from far away dreams, imaginary memories and psychotropic reminiscences. Her creations have been presented locally at l'Arsenal, Tangente, MAI, l'Écart, Accès Asie; as well as internationally at SIDance (Korea) and Krossing-Over (Vietnam), among others. Châu is Artistic and General Co-director at Studio 303 and an associated artist at Equivoc'. She graduated in Dance (MA UQAM) and finance (MA ASB Denmark / Harvard USA).
